Pepper Plants
PEPPER INFO
We have sweet and spicy pepper varieties. The seeds are from Johnny's Seeds; we start them in the basement in the early spring and have them ready for you to transplant in May and June.
Sailfish Bell (sweet)
Sweet bell pepper. Best after they've turned red. Do use compost and/or fertilizer. More info
Carmen Italian (sweet)
Shaped like a bull's horn ("corno di toro"). Wait to pick them until they are deep red, for a rich sweet flavor. Great roasted. More info
Bastan Poblano (medium)
These have some heat and are great fried, roasted, or in chile rellenos. Use either at the green unripe or brown ripe stage. More info.
Altiplano Serrano (hot)
Long for a serrano; traditional serrano flavor and pungency. More info.
Mystery
Some pepper plant -- we're not sure which variety! Could be hot, could be sweet. Fun!
